SmarterSTEM has comprehensive STEM courses and programs for the assembly of alternate fuel vehicles with focuses in Electric, Hybrid and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
Students will use basic automotive skills and knowledge, supplemented by the SmarterSTEM Curriculum, to complete the alternate fuel project. No special engineering skills are necessary. All of the components to complete the assembly project are included in our programs.
The format for each course is 16 weeks of lesson plans with test questions and additional activities included for each section. Video segments are also used to demonstrate the hands-on activities taking place in the shop. The timeline to complete each class is one school semester.
